Skyler

I'd like to take a moment from the toy talk to pay special tribute to a member of my family that we lost today.  We got our dog Skyler as a puppy, and from the moment she puked gopher guts on my lap, I knew she was one of us.

HollidayRespawn

A friend of mine started his own YouTube channel a while back, and it's not too shabby!

He told me was going to do a playthrough of XCOM: Enemy Within, and he asked if I wanted my name used for one of his soldiers.  Uh, yeah I did!  He knows I'm a huge Kamen Rider fan, so he tried to give my character a "Kamen Rider-esque" design.  I decided to commemorate my soldier with a special Plastic Eyeball comic (with apologies to Hiroshi Fujioka).

Blockheads

My friend Alexx over at Toys and Tomfoolery recommended the Tenkai Knights a while back, and I finally got around to picking some up.  I grabbed a few sets before Christmas, but I'm waiting for some time to take pictures of them as I build them, so I can do a proper spotlight on them.  In the meantime, I found some blind bagged ones that I never knew about, so these are the first Tenkai Knights I've actually tried out.  How are they, you ask?  Well, I'll tell you.

Travel Toys: Part 3

The journey concludes, for now...

A U S T R A L I A

We went to the Land Down Under last year, or as I like to call it, "the Land of Moose".  That's right kids, this where the Trash Pack comes from!

Travel Toys: Part 2

Alright, the journey continues!

U S A

I haven't been all over the US yet, but I've been to Florida and Vegas a few times.  They're less about the dio-shots and more about just shopping seeing all the cool stuff there.  That also means my pics are usually just nightstand shots.

Travel Toys: Part 1

Ok, here's the thing.  I like to travel.  It'll come up a lot on the blog here, whether I'm posting pics from my most recent trip or reminiscing about the old ones (like right now!).  One thing I always have to do is bring some figures with me.  It doesn't matter if it's a day trip, camping, whatever, I need to have some figures with me.  I always have some figures set up on the nightstand here at home, so I always do it when I travel too.  Plus, you never know what kind of cool diorama shots you could snap while you're travelling, so you gotta be prepared.

Here are some of the toys I've taken with me on my various travels.  The first group of pics might make it seem like I only travel with Glyos figures, but I'll bring anything with me.  Oh, and um... EDIT: Apparently my first draft was so big I broke the internet, so I'll just split this post into three.  So this part 1 now.

C A N A D A

Just because I live here doesn't mean I won't come across some cool dio-shots, so I gotta be prepared here too.

AMAMOTM - December

Late until the very end!  It's the usual excuses this time.  December was too busy for me to get this done on time, blah blah blah.  Doesn't matter.  Let's get on with the final instalment of Army Men and Monsters of the Month!

Last time, we left things off with the Pilot at the mercy of the Mega Monster Master.  Let's pick things up right there.

First Toy of the Year (2014)

Wow! I can't believe I haven't written a blog post all year! Gotta remedy that. This will be another quick one, then I'ma try to get AMAMOTM done, THEN we'll really kick into the new year here.

I must have been in a building mood lately, because my last toy of 2013 and my first toy of 2014 are building sets.
